BanditAds.com Logo alternative

BanditAds.com is a simple and cost effective Video advertising solution for the rest of us. I worked with them to develop a brand and website design early this year but I couldn’t find the time to upload it to my portfolio until now.

Website for Luftman, Heck & Associates LLP (home)

Luftman, Heck & Associates LLP is a Law firm based in Columbus, Ohio. Their current website is 100% flash and they asked SUM a total overhaul so this is how their new site is going to look in a few weeks. I really enjoy working on corporate sites, specially when they give you enough freedom to speak your mind and share your points of view.

One other thing that I found particularly interesting about this project is that I tried to De-Web-2.0-lize (does that even mean something?) the design and stay away from the gradients. I also used lots of negative margins and I chose Verdana size 11 for the copy. Good news is the client is very happy with the result and the site should be launched in the next few weeks. You can view how the inner section looks here.

Iceberg On Demand

This is one the ongoing projects that I’m working on and the reason why I haven’t been able to blog this past few days. The Design itself was a real challenge and now that the project has moved to the coding stage it is really starting to take shape.  It should be live before the end of the month if everything goes according to plan.

Oh crap. Just because I said that, now nothing will go according to plan. Damn you Murphy.

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates. I know I promised that I’ll call write, but seriously it’s not that I didn’t wanted to, I just got caught up with two new projects, a few kernel panics, 3 clean Leopard installations and a hard drive failure. Seriously, it’s not you, it’s me. I just needed some time. Sheeeeeesh… I’m starting to sound like Janice. Anyway, I thought to chime in this morning and illustrate my last few days.

Studio Pizazz

Studio Pizazz is a cool Dance Studio in Albuquerque. They asked SUM to develop a new brand and website for their big opening in early February. This is a mockup of a proposed concept for the website and may not represent the final approved design.

United Way of Central New Mexico asked SUM to redesign their website. A big part of the work had to do with Information Architecture and the objective was to make the site more accessible/useful to the donors and the media.

The United Nations Population Fund asked to develop a website in order to help them build their presence in Paraguay. Without a doubt this was the longest website project I’ve ever been involved with. The Information Architecture on this site took nearly 8 months. The whole project took more than 10 months. It was definitively a big learning experience on both personally and professionally.

In case you were wondering, the UNFPA is an international development agency that promotes the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity. UNFPA supports countries in using population data for policies and programmes to reduce poverty and to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, every young person is free of HIV/AIDS, and every girl and woman is treated with dignity and respect.

United Way Central New Mexico asked SUM Agency to develop the 2007 campaign. The creative team came up with the concept of GIVING as an actual product. The packaging itself was carefully design and would become the center of the campaign. We even did some TV Spots as well (you can find those on the trygiving.com website).

When the time came, I designed the concept using elements from the campaign and the box itself, which later turned into a resolution independent flash website. It was pretty fun project and I was very honored to be a part of it.
